In the early 1980s, the SNCB introduced a new family of electric locomotives where varied characteristics were in-built depending on the work they would carry out. The Type 21s were 3kV d.c. only, but less powerful than the Type 27s, making them more suited to lighter passenger work upon the SNCB network (only).
This model depicts one of the locos from the first batch of 30 Type 21s. We have to confess that we don't know what form the additional branding takes.
The model will be up to LS Models standards with a heavy duty centrally mounted motor, working head- and tail-lights, fine detail pantographs, a wealth of detail on body and chassis, NEM coupling sockets and a DCC socket.
