Terms & Conditions

Please allow 28 days for delivery of all of the merchandise on this site. We say this because the distribution is done by volunteers some of whom also have full time jobs.

All overseas orders will be sent “Airmail”. Additional postage costs will be added at the checkout.

The web site is called Charity Goods, but is linked to the former name for the website, TOGS Calendar. The emails you receive may well mention TOGs Calendar, however that does not mean you have ordered a calendar, unless you did! Please check your confirmation for details of what you ordered.

When you fill in your email address please be 100% correct, otherwise you will not get confirmation from the website, it will go into the reject bin, never to be seen again.

Please ensure the delivery address is complete and correct, this is where we will dispatch the goods. Charity Goods can not be held responsible for goods delivered to an incorrectly entered delivery address.

If you are asking for dispatch to a work address, please take extra care over the address, and make sure you include your name in the delivery address, as these are the areas where we find most delivery problems!

Privacy & Disclosure
We respect your right to privacy. None of the information we collect is passed on to other parties, except when required as part of the business services we provide for you, or as required under UK law.
Data Collection
We will only collect details about you when you place an order. These will include your name and address, your email address, and various other details necessary to complete a transaction and fulfil your order. We do not collect any information which may be deemed "sensitive personal data" under the Data Protection Act 1998.

Cookies are small pieces of text information created by websites and stored on your computer. Our shopping cart system uses cookies to help maintain your shopping cart while you browse our store. We will not retain any details that you provide, except for your name, postal address & email address. You are asked if you wish to receive occasional emails or postal information from us about our products or general advice about our products which may benefit them. Your submission of an order is deemed to be your consent to provide us with your details. We use no other means of data collection.

We allow you to purchase services from us by debit and credit card. To ensure absolute security and privacy, we entrust debit and credit card transactions to WorldPay, one of the worlds leading card payment solutions providers.

Security Statement

We take security very seriously, which is why we have chosen to use online credit card processing facilities provided by WorldPay.

WorldPay are Europe's leading payment service provider. They are processing for companies such as John Lewis, Disney, Sage and Vodafone. WorldPay have impeccable fraud prevention capabilities and as such are master merchants for Visa and MasterCard.

Our WorldPay facilities are fully secure and use a range of industry standard and WorldPay unique security and fraud prevention systems. The WorldPay network uses 2048-bit encryption, with full 128-bit encryption between the browser and the WorldPay network. WorldPay systems are regularly inspected by the major banks to ensure that system integrity and security are maintained to the highest standards.

The WorldPay processing centre is securely linked to many processing banks worldwide, who handle the credit card authorisations online and process the transactions in real time. The WorldPay servers are certified by Thawte, a public Certificate Authority. Thawte will only issue Digital Certificates to those servers which meet stringent security requirements. The WorldPay servers meet and exceed these requirements.

It is now known that Internet transactions through systems such as WorldPays are inherently more secure than other methods of making purchases in 'cardholder not present' situations such as telesales, or when giving a card to a waiter in a restaurant.
Your online purchase from us will take place in real time, and we will never see your credit card details. You can have confidence that our online purchasing facilities are secure and safe to use.

Returns & Refunds Policy

Legal compliance
TOGS Calendar , incorporating Charity Goods, returns and refunds policy is in accordance with the EU Distance Selling Directive which came into force in October 2000 and is part of UK law under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. This law applies to all transactions within the UK where a consumer does not meet the vendor. Contracts between businesses are not governed by these regulations.
Your rights as a consumer
In accordance with the law, you have a 7 day 'cooling off period' in which you have the right to cancel your purchase and receive a full refund. You do not need to give a reason for cancelling your purchase. We are obliged to refund your payment in full within 30 days of your cancellation.

Please tell us your name and address. If your order was made from this website, please tell us the WorldPay transaction ID. If your order was made by post, please say so.

Refunds due to cancellation
Should you cancel your purchase with this 7 day 'cooling off' period, we will refund your payment in full. If you paid by credit or debit card from this website, your refund will be made directly to your credit or debit card within 30 days of your cancellation. If you paid by any other means, your refund will be made by cheque which will be posted to you within 30 days of your cancellation. There will be no charges for cancellation within this 7 day cooling off period.

Returns and refunds outside the 7 day cooling off period
Refunds for unwanted goods will only be made where the goods are returned unused, unopened and in re-saleable condition. Unwanted goods must be returned to us within 7 days of delivery.

We cannot accept liability for goods lost or damaged during transit. You are advised to wrap the product carefully to avoid damage. You are also advised to return goods by recorded delivery, registered post, or by courier. Proof of postage will not be accepted as proof of delivery. Please remember to give us your name and address, and a copy of your purchase receipt.
Refunds for unwanted goods
Providing that unwanted goods are received by us in unused, unopened and resaleable condition within 7 days of delivery, we will refund payment for the goods. Orders placed by credit or debit card from this website will be refunded directly to your credit or debit card. Orders placed by other means will be refunded by cheque. These refunds will be made within 30 days of return of goods.

Additional Terms and Conditions for TomTom® Celebrity Voices

These additional TERMS AND CONDITIONS apply to any digital content sent to you by Charity Goods by email or on Digital Media (CD). By the act of ordering the email or CD version of any digital content from this site you are accepting these terms and conditions.

All digital content (voice files, CHK, VIF, image files and CLR files) on this site (www.charitygoods.com, www.charitygoods.co.uk, www.charitygoods.org, www.togscalendar.org, www.togscalender.org ) is © Copyright 2008 Charity Goods or their respective owners.

Digital products on this site (apart from voices on CDs) are distributed electronically, therefore there are no refunds for erroneous purchases or downloads.

Any application or extension (such as voices and picture files) are for use on one device only. You may keep one backup copy of the digital content emailed to you from this site on any digital media of your choice.

You may not store any digital content emailed to you from this site on any media accessible to anybody apart from the person who purchased the aforesaid digital content, including, but not limited to personal computers, computers on local networks, http and ftp servers.

You may not exchange or transfer ownership of the any digital content emailed to you or sent to you on CD from this site to another party.

You may not reverse-engineer and/or disassemble any digital content emailed to you or sent to you on CD.

You may not distribute any files or applications emailed to you or sent to you on CD from this site as part of a sales package even if you state the items are free.

You may not sell any digital content emailed to you or sent to you on CD from this site on any auction site including but not restricted to eBay or include them on any item sold on any auction site including but not restricted to eBay.

There is no warranty with any of the digital content emailed to you or sent to you on CD from this site, installation and usage is at the users own risk.
