This beautiful, large and powerful dog was bred to work, and work hard. Although hauling was one of its primary uses, it is probably best known for its ability to swim. With its thick, oily coat and web feet, it was utilised by fishermen to help bring in their nets. Therefore, that using the sea as a backdrop to the image, was appropriate.
